Born: August 28, 2017
Kami was named for the city of Kamloops - in honour of their community spirit and hard work during this summer's forest fires. Kami will keep her Kami name in hopes that she lives up to that spirit. As well, in the Japanese culture, Kami means a divine being and/or the spirit of something. We chose her second name to be Kali (her daddy's Simba's second name - bravery in Swahili). In Hindi, Kali is a gentle mother and fierce protective warrior. We hope our little Kami Kali lives up to her name!

On September 23, 2018, Kami gave birth to her first litter of kittens, the BC Rivers Kittens. They were born on BC Rivers Day! She has 2 sons and a daughter! On June 26, 2019, Kami surprised us by giving birth to 5 kittens very quickly...2 days early and all by herself! These are the BC Lakes kittens and there are 4 boys and 1 girl!

On April 17. 2020, Kami gave birth to Adela, the only surviving Royal Kitten. On October 7, 2020, Kami gave birth to her last litter - The Sun, Moon, and Stars - 2 boys and 1 girl. This was her last litter and she was spayed on December 28, 2020. After time to recuperate and learning to be a pampered pet, we will be looking for a new home to love her.
On March 13, 2021, Kami joined the May family in Langley. She is adapting well to her retirement and is busy supervising the office work. Her 5-year-old human tires her out with chasing play sessions, so Kami retreats to hide in her bed or under the weighted blanket for a well deserved nap!
